Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Forged Marketing Inc. ("Forged", "we", "our") is a web studio incorporated in Québec, Canada. We build and maintain monthly-subscription renovation websites for Quebec contractors. Our primary contact for all privacy matters is hi@forgedmarketing.ca.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide our services and communicate with you:

• Contact information — your name and email address when you reach out via hi@forgedmarketing.ca, a contact form, or a booking link.
• Business information — your business name, trade, service area, and operational context you share with us during onboarding.
• Usage data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time on site, collected automatically when you visit forgedmarketing.ca via standard server logs and analytics tools.
• Website performance data — aggregated analytics data from sites we host and manage on your behalf, collected via Plausible Analytics.

3. Why we collect it

• To respond to your enquiries and deliver contracted services.
• To send you invoices, reports, and service updates.
• To improve our website and understand how visitors find us.
• To comply with our legal and tax obligations as a Québec corporation.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for automated profiling or decision-making.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party tools. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:

• Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly site analytics with no cookies and no cross-site tracking. Subject to Plausible's Privacy Policy.
• Postmark / transactional email — used to deliver email communications from hi@forgedmarketing.ca. Email metadata (send time, open events) may be logged for deliverability purposes.
• Vercel — our hosting provider. Server logs including IP addresses are processed by Vercel's infrastructure in accordance with their Data Processing Addendum.

5. How we store and protect your data

Data is stored on servers located in Canada and the United States. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access controls, and regular review of data retention. We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Client business data is deleted within 90 days of contract termination upon written request.

Cross-border data transfer. Some of our processors operate servers outside Québec, including in the United States. Postmark (transactional email) is US-based; Vercel (hosting) processes data in the United States and Canada. By using our services you consent to this transfer, which is conducted under contractual safeguards (including standard contractual clauses where applicable).

6. Your rights under PIPEDA and Québec Law 25

As a resident of Canada, and particularly Québec, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction — request that inaccurate or incomplete information be corrected.
• Deletion — request that your personal information be deleted, subject to our legal retention obligations.
• Portability — under Québec Law 25, request that your information be communicated to you or transferred to another organisation in a structured, commonly used format.
• Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent to non-essential data uses at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email hi@forgedmarketing.ca with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will respond within 30 days as required by law.

7. Marketing emails and opt-out

If you have opted in to receive marketing communications from Forged, every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Clicking it removes you from our list immediately. You can also request removal at any time by emailing hi@forgedmarketing.ca. We do not send unsolicited commercial email.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve or as legislation changes. Material changes will be communicated by email to active clients. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
